Up to 1.5 GW on-site generation under study with TNB

What has happened

Singapore's DayOne and Malaysia's state utility sign an MoU on up to 1.5 GW of on-site power

· L1 Power and land · Up to 1.5 GW · Confirmed

A data centre planned for Selangor may build its own power station rather than wait for the grid. DayOne, based in Singapore, and an arm of Malaysia's state utility signed a memorandum of understanding on 7 August. The 1.5 gigawatts is a ceiling on a study, not a commitment, and the final capacity still needs feasibility work and approval.
