About Strata

Strata maps the AI industry as eight layers, from the power station at the bottom to the agent at the top, and reports what moves in each one. Every number links to the document it came from and carries a label for how sure we are of it.

Who publishes it

Strata is published by Dheeco. It is free to read and carries no adverts, and nothing on it is paid for by the companies it covers.

How an item gets here

Every morning a research run reads primary sources across all eight layers and across regions: filings, regulators, courts, ministries and companies’ own releases, in the local language first where the source is not in English. Each item is drafted in plain English from those documents, and the exact sentence behind every number is kept on file.

A separate check then tries to prove each item wrong. It opens every source, compares every number against the document, and looks for anything the document does not actually say. What fails is fixed or dropped. A person then reads what is left against the sources and publishes it. The drafting and checking are done by machine and the publishing by a person, and we say so plainly rather than putting a made-up name on the byline.

What the labels mean

Confirmed means we read the primary document ourselves and every part of the headline is in it. Reported means credible journalism where no primary document was reachable, or a benchmark run by the company that made the thing being measured. Rumoured is rare and always labelled.

Stories

When something deserves the long version it gets a story: what happened, why it matters with a worked example, what would change it, and what we still do not know. A story is built from the primary document and independent documents on the same event, and when we could not find enough of them, the story says so.

After publishing

Once a week everything already published is checked again: every link, every number, every date, and whether the world has moved on. When something was wrong, the page is corrected and the corrections page logs what it said, what it says now, and why. Nothing is edited quietly.

What we will not do

We do not say a named company or person did wrong unless a filing, a court, a regulator or that party says so, and we do not deliver verdicts in our own voice. We link out to the original reporting and never republish it.
